Chris Della Rosa
An Advisor. A Professional. A Friend
To know Chris you must first understand that he has never considered himself a salesman, but rather a facilitator. He helps people find what they are looking for. The very foundation of his business is making certain that he is meeting the needs of his clients, and building relationships along the way.
Chris is a native of Freehold, NJ. (He's fond of noting that Bruce Springsteen's song "My Hometown" is actually about his hometown of Freehold). Not unlike many kids, he spent most of his days with either a baseball, football, or soccer ball in his hands. Then as college grew nearer he found himself taking an interest in the arts. This led him to The University of Tennessee, and later to Long Island University-C.W. Post, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Film and Television Production.
Chris spent the next eight years out of college working in the film and television industries primarily as a cinematographer. He has worked on
everything from major motion pictures, to music videos, commercials, and industrial videos. After many years of hopping flights and bouncing from production to production the pull to join family in the more temperate climates of Hilton Head Island was too hard to pass up.
Chris spent the next two years managing in the restaurant industry before making the natural move to Real Estate. It was a "natural" move since Chris had been assisting his mother in her Real Estate career since he was as young as ten years old. He later had the great fortune of learning under one of Hilton Head Island's top agents and partner in Hilton Head Island's most successful company, so experience came quickly. It was this mentorship that has helped him grow his own very successful business today.
But Chris' life is not all real estate. He has a wonderful wife, Amy, and three beautiful daughters (Celeste, Selena, and little Mazzi Rey). With two girls having graduated from The College of Charleston, Chris now finds time to get back to coaching soccer at Hilton Head High School, as well as playing in a weekly game himself. You might even find him occasionally playing the drums around town in his old island favorite band, "Traynrekk".
Chris can be summed up by one simple rule..."The Golden Rule". Treat others with the same care and respect that you would ask for yourself. It sounds simple, but it is the foundation of who he is as a person and as a real estate agent.
Rick and Richie at The Sea Pines Country Club
A Local. A Confidant. A Protege
Richie Murray, the son of Rick and Janet Murray was born in Savannah because the newly built Hilton Head Hospital did not have a maternity ward functioning yet. This makes Richie a true local, having spent his whole life in the low country.
Richie grew up in Sea Pines riding his bike, exploring, and fishing all over the plantation. Richie graduated from Hilton Head High School and continued his education at Georgia Southern University. After college, he moved to Charleston and began working at a small bistro on Sullivan's Island. After several years in Charleston, he realized how much he missed his family and friends on Hilton Head. Once back home on Hilton Head, he began managing Hudson’s Seafood with longtime friend and owner. After many years in the restaurant and hospitality business, he decided to join his father in the real estate sales. Growing up on Hilton Head Island has given Richie a unique perspective of the lifestyle that Hilton Head has to offer. On his time off Richie enjoys fishing, golfing, fetch with his pup, watching baseball and football. In 2016 Richie joined up with his father on The Murray and Della Rosa Real Estate Team of Charter One Realty and Marketing and is excited to serve all of your real estate needs.
